Enjoy Final Titan!

GENERAL

CANCEL

Q: Can I use Cancel on the icons of an Ultimate?

A: Yes. For example, your Titan is Neo-Leonidas who says “I cancel (red)”. He is fighting against Impulse who has an Ultimate consisting of three icons: (red) (red) (blue). If Impulse triggers her Ultimate, then Neo-Leonidas cancels her two (red) icons, so only her (blue) icon is resolved.

Q: My Titan has an ability that says “I cancel (red)”. The foe has 1 Action token, so they take 2 Actions on their turn. For their first Action, they roll (red), so it is canceled by my Titan’s ability. Do they still take their second Action that turn?

A: Yes, you only cancel all die rolls of the foe that are (red), including all additional icons or effects related to it. This does not end their turn and does not prevent the foe from taking their second Action due to their Action token. If they roll (red) again for their second Action, it is canceled again.

EMPTY ARENA

Q: If the arena becomes empty after a fight (for any reason), how should we determine the next Champion and Challenger?

A: You simply apply the general rule as explained in the rulebook on page 14: the next player is the one sitting to the left of the Challenger from the previous fight and you go back to Phase 1: Skip or Fight (see rulebook pages 9–10). After a player chooses to FIGHT, their Titan is alone in the arena, so they become the Champion. Then all other players determine the Challenger the same way.

MISS

Q: If I roll a Miss, does it still count as a “roll”?

A: Yes, it counts as a “roll” for the purposes of any other card effects.

NEXT PLAYER AFTER A FIGHT ENDS

Q: The rulebook says on page 14: “The next player is the one sitting to the left of the Challenger from the previous fight. Exception: If that player also fought in the previous fight, the next player is the one to their left.” In which situation does this exception happen?

A: The exception happens when the player sitting to the left of the Challenger from the previous fight was also the Champion during that previous fight. Also, keep in mind that the exception is only for determining the first player who must choose to SKIP or FIGHT after a fight ends.

Q: What would be an example where the exception applies?

A: Anna, Bob, Carole and Daniel are seated at the table, in the order their names are listed (clockwise). Bob is the Champion. Anna is the Challenger and wins that fight. After that fight ends, the next player is supposed to be Bob because he is sitting to the left of the Challenger from the previous fight. However, the exception applies because Bob also fought in the previous fight. Therefore, the next player is the one to his left, which is Carole. Also note that, if Carole and Daniel choose to SKIP, Anna does not participate, so Bob must then choose to SKIP or FIGHT, and so on until a player chooses to FIGHT.

Q: What would be an example where the exception does NOT apply?

A: Anna, Bob, Carole and Daniel are seated at the table, in the order their names are listed (clockwise). Carole is the Champion. Anna is the Challenger and wins that fight. After that fight ends, the next player is Bob because he is sitting to the left of the Challenger from the previous fight. The exception does not apply because Bob did not fight in the previous fight. Also note that, if Bob chooses to SKIP, then Carole must now choose to SKIP or FIGHT, and so on until a player chooses to FIGHT.

OPTIONAL RULE: BETTING

Q: If all my Titans are already defeated, can I still bet?

A: No, you cannot bet anymore. You are eliminated from the game, so all upgrade cards remaining in your hand go to the discard pile (see rulebook page 6). If you do not have any upgrade cards in hand, then you cannot bet. However, feel free to place fake bets just for fun!

Q: What happens to the bets if both Titans are defeated at the same time?

A: In that case they both lose the fight (see rulebook page 25). Therefore, all bets are wrong because no one has won the fight. Players who placed bets must discard 1 upgrade card. Nothing happens to players who chose not to bet at all.

“START OF GAME” ABILITIES

Q: Once drafting Titans is finished, all “Start of Game” abilities of all Titans are resolved, if any. Is there a specific order in which to resolve them?

A: The order usually does not matter. In the rare case where it might matter, then those of Titans with higher Speed are resolved first. In case of a tie, determine the order randomly for those.

SWAP WITH ANOTHER TITAN

Q: What happens exactly to the upgrade cards during a “swap”?

A: Upgrade cards are normally removed from the arena at the end of the fight and sent to the discard pile. However, in the special case of a “swap” (with Skinwalker for example), it is different. The new Titan entering the arena continues that same fight with the same role (Champion or Challenger) and keeps using the same face-up upgrade cards (see rulebook page 24). That is because it is still considered the same fight. At the end of that fight, the upgrade cards will be removed as usual.

TEAM POWER

Q: What are the conditions for a Team Power to be active?

A: If one of your Titans has a Team Power, that Team Power is only active for fights you are actually participating in (regardless of which of your Titans is in the arena). Only the 2 players actually participating in the current fight are playing the game during Phase 2: Upgrade and Phase 3: Combat (see rulebook page 11). All other players are ignored during that time, so the Team Powers of their Titans are ignored too. In addition, when a Titan is defeated, they go to the discard pile, so their Team Power is not active anymore.

THERE MUST BE A FINAL TITAN!

Q: What if the last two Titans remaining in the game are defeated at the same time in the very last fight?

A: This is extremely rare. If that happens, both players are supposed to be eliminated from the game, and the game would end without any winner. However, there must be a Final Titan! The multiverse demands it! Therefore, both players draw a new Titan at random from the face-down deck of remaining undrafted Titans. If they have a “Start of Game” ability, it is resolved immediately. Play one final fight to crown the Final Titan and the winner of the game.

UPGRADE CARDS

Q: During Phase 2: Upgrade, the starting player (higher speed) plays their upgrade cards first. Then the other player (lower speed) plays their upgrade cards second. Both players play their cards face down. Can the second player see how many cards the starting player has played before they make their decision?

A: Yes.

STATUS TOKENS

BLESSED & CURSED TOKENS

Q: What happens if my Titan would gain another one of those tokens?

A: Here is an example to fully understand. A Titan currently has 1 Blessed token. The rules say that they cannot have 2 Blessed tokens, so if they would gain another one, they simply do not gain it. Also, they cannot have 1 Blessed token and 1 Cursed token at the same time, so if they would gain 1 Cursed token, they do not gain that Cursed token and instead they lose their Blessed token (these two tokens always cancel each other out).

Q: If I roll doubles, I resolve only 1 die and lose my Blessed/Cursed token. But in which order must I do these two things?

A: The order usually does not matter. In the rare case where it might matter (for Dr. Jekyll and Genesis 1.0 sometimes), first you lose the Blessed/Cursed token, and then you resolve only 1 die.

DODGE TOKENS

Q: What if my Titan would take damage while having multiple Dodge tokens?

A: You only lose 1 Dodge token.

DODGE & MINION TOKENS

Q: Which token must I use when my Titan, who has both a Dodge token and a Minion token, would take damage and be defeated from that damage?

A: You must lose the Dodge token and you keep the Minion token.

SPECIFIC CARDS (BASE SET)

ALEKEEPER

Q: Where do I draw the new Titan from when her Ultimate triggers?

A: The new Titan is drawn from the face-down deck of remaining undrafted Titans. If they have a “Start of Game” ability, it is resolved immediately.

ARCHANGEL VS THE OLD KING

Q: What happens when these two Titans fight each other?

A: The Old king says “the foe gains my Cursed token and I deal 5 damage”. However, Archangel says “I cannot gain any Cursed token”. The “cannot” effect always takes precedence (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 2), so the Old King cannot give his Cursed token to Archangel. His wording precisely says “MY Cursed token”, so The Old King keeps his Cursed token. The rest of The Old King’s ability is still resolved because you always resolve as much as you can (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 3). Therefore, the Old King still deals 5 damage to Archangel.

BEAST MASTER

Q: What happens if another effect makes him gain 2 Minion tokens as a single instance?

A: In that case, this ability triggers twice, so he heals 2.

CRITICAL STRIKE (as well as Inner Focus, First Wish, Tiny Terror)

Q: What does “my first roll” mean?

A: It means only your first roll of that fight, which happens on your first turn.

CRITICAL STRIKE (as well as Inner Focus, First Wish, Tiny Terror, Kitsune, Ronnie & Slyde)

Q: This card makes me “set” the die to a specific icon instead of rolling it. Does it still count as a “roll”?

A: Yes. When you “set” the die to a specific icon instead of rolling it, it counts exactly as if you had “rolled” that icon, for the purposes of any other effects. For example: your Critical Strike (set to (red)) is canceled by Neo-Leonidas (“I cancel (red)”). Another example: your First Wish (set to (blue)) makes Achilles (KO!) (“when the foe rolls (blue), they (KO!) me instead”). Other examples include Magnus Pain, Medic Mira, Karate Guy. Also, your Inner Focus makes you take another Action as if you rolled (Charge).

Q: What happens if I have this card, but I am supposed to roll 2 dice instead of 1 because my Titan has a Blessed or Cursed token?

A: The card’s effect overrides the actual dice roll entirely (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 1). Instead of rolling, you set a single die to a specific icon. Therefore, you cannot roll doubles.

CRUMBLING COLOSSUS

Q: What if Crumbling Colossus has the upgrade card Dracula’s Blood?

A: As an example, Crumbling Colossus currently has 5 life and rolls (blue). As explained in the rulebook on page 12, you must resolve first the primary effect (“I deal 2 damage with Drain”), so he heals 2 and now has 7 life. Then, you must resolve the secondary effect (“I take 5 damage”), so he now has 2 life and survives.

CYANIDE SAM

Q: What does “in play” mean?

A: It means on all Titans, both in the arena and on all benches.

DEMON DAVE (as well as Archangel, Cyanide Sam, Zeus)

Q: Can this Titan choose to gain the token themself?

A: Yes, you can choose any Titan, in the arena or on any bench, including themself (see rulebook page 16).

DR. JEKYLL

Q: If Dr. Jekyll has 1 Cursed token and rolls doubles, when exactly does he lose his Cursed token?

A: For example: if Dr. Jekyll rolls (red) and (red), first he loses his Cursed token, and then you resolve only 1 (red), so he deals 2 damage and does not deal +5 damage because he has no Cursed token at that point. Another example: if Dr. Jekyll rolls (blue) and (blue), first he loses his Cursed token, and then you resolve only 1 (blue), making him gain 1 Cursed token again with his Special Move (primary effect) and finally he takes another Action due to the Action icon (secondary effect) in which he rolls 2 dice again.

FORCE FIELD (as well as Exo-Skeleton, Alice, Cthulhu, Lone Yeti, Arthur Pendragon)

Q: When I play the upgrade card Force Field (“I have +1 armor”), am I supposed to gain 1 Armor token?

A: No, you do not gain 1 Armor token because it does not say “I gain 1 Armor token”. Force Field has a passive ability that increases your armor value. It works like other passive abilities such as Hermes’s Boon (“I have +5 speed”) and Power Potion (“I deal +1 damage”). Also, do not forget that the ability of the upgrade card Force Field, like other upgrade cards, is temporary as it goes to the discard pile when the fight ends. In contrast, an Armor token, like other status tokens, is permanent as it normally carries over between fights. The armor value can be increased in two ways: by passive abilities like Force Field or by gaining Armor tokens (as explained in the rulebook on page 17).

FORESIGHT (as well as Arthur Pendragon, Bullet Train, Hong Gil-Dong)

Q: It reads “the foe cannot use Armor”. Does it refer to Armor tokens or the armor value indicated in the top-left corner of Titans?

A: It refers to both.

GENESIS 1.0

Q: Suppose that the Charge token of Genesis 1.0 has its colored side up already. If Genesis 1.0 has 1 Blessed token and rolls double Charge (Charge) (Charge), when exactly does he lose his Blessed token?

A: First he loses his Blessed token, and then you resolve only 1 die. Therefore, in this example, it goes as follows. First Genesis 1.0 loses his Blessed token. Losing the Blessed token makes him fully heal immediately (as an interruption) due to his other triggered ability. And then you resolve only 1 (Charge). This triggers his Ultimate, which makes the foe become (KO!) because Genesis 1.0 has no Blessed token at that point.

Q: My Titan is Genesis 1.0 (with a speed of 5) who gains 1 Blessed token as a Start of Fight ability. What happens exactly if the foe (with a lower speed) has a Start of Fight ability that makes Genesis 1.0 gain 1 Cursed token?

A: If the foe has a lower speed than Genesis 1.0 (for example Cursed Pirate), you are the starting player, so you resolve your Start of Fight ability first, thus Genesis 1.0 gains 1 Blessed token. Then the foe resolves their Start of Fight ability, which is supposed to make Genesis 1.0 gain 1 Cursed token. However, he cannot have 1 Blessed token and 1 Cursed token at the same time, so if he would gain 1 Cursed token, he does not gain that Cursed token and instead he loses his Blessed token (these two tokens always cancel each other out). Losing the Blessed token makes him fully heal immediately (as an interruption) due to his other triggered ability.

Q: What if the foe has a higher speed? (same question as above otherwise)

A: If the foe has a higher speed than Genesis 1.0 (for example Cheshire Cat), the foe is the starting player, so they resolve their Start of Fight ability first, thus Genesis 1.0 gains 1 Cursed token. Then you resolve your Start of Fight ability, which is supposed to make Genesis 1.0 gain 1 Blessed token. However, he cannot have 1 Cursed token and 1 Blessed token at the same time, so if he would gain 1 Blessed token, he does not gain that Blessed token and instead he loses his Cursed token (these two tokens always cancel each other out). His other triggered ability does not trigger in that case, so he does not fully heal.

GLITCH

Q: How does the Team Power of Glitch exactly work?

A: If you choose to swap, then you don’t resolve that Miss and instead Glitch takes your other Titan’s place in the arena permanently. She takes the next turn, so the foe’s turn is skipped once.

GORGON’S GAZE

Q: What if I play Gorgon’s Gaze and the foe has a Blessed or Cursed token?

A: They roll 2 dice instead of 1, but they can roll the dice only once on each of their turns for the entire duration of this fight.

Q: What if I play Gorgon’s Gaze and the foe plays Sharpshooter?

A: The foe’s Sharpshooter says that, when they roll a Miss, they ignore it entirely and reroll. Your Gorgon’s Gaze says that the foe cannot reroll. The “cannot” effect always takes precedence (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 2), so they cannot reroll. However, their Miss is still “ignored entirely” (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 3). Therefore, this does not trigger any other effects. For example, if your Titan is Cheshire Cat, this does not trigger your ability.

HÄNSEL & GRETEL (as well as Shriek)

Q: Does this Titan also gain the token themself?

A: Yes.

HEAVEN’S FAVOR (as well as Witch’s Mark)

Q: What does the word “it” refer to?

A: It refers to that exact same token gained via that card, if that Titan still has it. This effect cannot make that Titan lose another token of the same type. To keep track of the token gained from that card, we recommend putting it on that upgrade card itself.

Q: What if the Titan leaves the arena during the fight for any reason?

A: Even in that case, the Titan will lose that token at the end of the fight.

HERMES’S BOON

Q: My Titan currently has a lower speed than the foe. What happens if I play the upgrade card Hermes’s Boon to increase my speed so that I now have a higher speed than the foe?

A: In that case, you become the starting player as soon as the upgrade cards are revealed. This has several consequences. You will resolve your “When Revealed” effects before the foe resolves theirs, if any. You will resolve your “Start of Fight” abilities before the foe resolves theirs, if any. You will take the first turn of the fight.

KARATE GUY

Q: What if Karate Guy has a Blessed or Cursed token?

A: Rolling 2 dice instead of 1 counts as 1 roll.

Q: What if Karate Guy has the upgrade card Sharpshooter?

A: When you roll a Miss, it is “ignored entirely”, so it does not count for any purposes. Of course, the reroll itself counts as 1 roll (unless it is also a Miss).

Q: What if Karate Guy has the upgrade card Critical Strike or a similar one?

A: When you “set” the die to a specific icon instead of rolling it, it counts as 1 roll.

KITSUNE

Q: What if Kitsune cancels twice in the same turn?

A: On her next turn, she may set her first roll to Charge instead of rolling the die. She may do that only once on her next turn, not twice.

MASAMUNE

Q: How does this ability exactly work?

A: Before you roll the die, you must decide whether you want to skip that Action or not. If you do, you don’t roll the die and just deal 3 damage instead. If you don’t, you roll the die as usual. You cannot roll the die and then decide to skip that Action you just rolled. If you have additional Actions on your turn, you can skip as many Actions as you want each turn.

Q: Does it still count as 1 Action if I skip my Action?

A: No, the skipped Action does not count as 1 Action. For example, a skipped Action would not trigger Demonica’s ability.

MINDBUG

Q: How does this Ultimate exactly work?

A: Here is an example to fully understand: your Titan is Mindbug fighting against any foe (Dragonbane for example). When you trigger Mindbug’s Ultimate, a few things happen: you win the fight (and the victory reward), Mindbug returns to your bench, you take control of Dragonbane who remains alone in the arena, thus becoming (or remaining) the Champion for the next fight. Dragonbane belongs to your team now, so he is your own Titan for subsequent fights. We go back to Phase 1: Skip or Fight as usual.

MOTHER

Q: What happens if another effect makes the foe gain 2 Poison tokens as a single instance?

A: In that case, this ability triggers twice, so she heals 4.

PAN

Q: How does the Friends of the Forest ability work to make the foe (KO!)?

A: This is a Special Move, so it triggers only when you roll (blue). First, Pan gains 1 Minion token. Then, check if he has 3 or more Minion tokens. If he does, the foe is (KO!).

SAND WYRM

Q: The rulebook says on page 24 that, if a Titan returns to the bench, the other Titan wins the fight. Is it different with Sand Wyrm?

A: Yes, it is different. The card always takes precedence over the rules (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 1). In this case, the foe is (KO!), so Sand Wyrm wins the fight and gains the victory reward.

SOBEK

Q: If Sobek wins a fight but takes damage in doing so in the last turn, will he deal as much damage to the next Challenger as his first Action in the next fight (provided he is the starting player)?

A: No, the effect only applies within the same fight.

STEELFORCE

Q: What does “any amount of damage” mean?

A: It means 1 or more damage. Zero damage does not count.

THAT WHICH FOLLOWS

Q: How does this ability exactly work?

A: When That Which Follows is defeated, it goes to the discard pile and all its tokens go back to the common supply, as usual. However, it is also immediately replaced in the arena by a new Titan drawn from the face-down deck of remaining undrafted Titans. If the new Titan has a “Start of Game” ability, it is resolved immediately. The new Titan enters the arena at max life and has a Charge token with the gray side up. The new Titan continues that same fight with the same role (Champion or Challenger) and keeps using the same face-up upgrade cards of That Which Follows. It is not the start of a new fight, so “Start of Fight” abilities are not triggered and card effects that affect your first roll of that fight (such as Critical Strike) cannot apply a second time if they applied already. The new Titan uses all their own abilities, attack chart, etc. as normal. At the end of that fight, the upgrade cards will be removed as usual.

THE GOAT (as well as Lab Cat, Aphrodite Areia, Wrath of Zeus)

Q: This card instructs me to “roll 1 die” and gives me an effect depending on that result. Can this die roll have any interaction with other effects?

A: No, that particular die roll does not interact in any way whatsoever with any other effects (such as Cancel, Blessed/Cursed tokens, triggered effects, Sharpshooter, etc.). In that case, the die is simply used as a random number generator to create one isolated random effect.

TINY TERROR

Q: What does “while I have a Charge” mean?

A: It means while the Charge token of your Titan has its colored side up.

WAR GOLEM

Q: Is the Gearforger ability mandatory?

A: Yes, it is mandatory because it does not say “I may”.

Q: Can I also play additional upgrade cards from my hand?

A: No, you only play the top 2 upgrade cards from the deck.

2 VS 2 MODE

ABILITIES THAT REFER TO A TEAM 2 VS 2

Q: What about abilities that refer to “all Titans on my team”? Do they include my teammate’s Titans as well?

A: Yes, all Titans of both teammates are considered a single team for the purposes of card effects. This is true for Team Powers and for abilities that refer to “all Titans on my team”. For example, Shriek’s ability affects all your Titans and all Titans of your teammate.

BENCH WITH TEAMMATE IN 2 VS 2

Q: Do I share my bench with my teammate?

A: No, you have your own bench of Titans, and it is separated from the bench of your teammate.

SENDING A TITAN INTO THE ARENA IN 2 VS 2

Q: How does the 2 vs 2 mode exactly work during Phase 1: Skip or Fight?

A: If your team’s Titan was defeated in the previous fight, your team must now send another Titan into the arena (you must always choose to FIGHT and you cannot choose to SKIP). There is no turn order between you and your teammate, so both of you simply decide together which one of your Titans you want to send. You can send any Titan from your bench or from your teammate’s bench.

SOLO & CO-OP MODE

ADDITIONAL UPGRADE CARDS FOR THE ENEMY TEAM

Q: What happens exactly if the enemy team would gain additional upgrade cards?

A: This happens for example with abilities that make the enemy team draw upgrade cards (such as with Sun’ya) or steal upgrade cards (such as with Silver Shade). In that case, shuffle them face down with the other upgrade cards of the enemy team (called their “hand”).

Q: The rulebook says the following on page 31: “If the enemy team has only one Titan left (for the upcoming last fight of the game), reveal and add all remaining upgrade cards from the “hand” of the enemy team instead of only one.” In most cases, this rule is unnecessary because normally, when the enemy team has only one Titan left, they also have only one upgrade card left in hand. In which cases is this rule useful?

A: This rule exists to cover rare situations where the enemy team would gain additional upgrade cards, by drawing them or stealing them, for example. Note that it is also possible that the enemy team would lose upgrade cards, by discarding them or having them be stolen from their hand, for example. In that case, the last Titan of the enemy team might not be able to play any new upgrade cards for the last fight of the game.

BENCH WITH TEAMMATES IN CO-OP

Q: If I play with one or more teammates, do I share my bench with them?

A: No, you have your own bench of Titans, and it is separated from the benches of your teammates.

TITANS OF THE ENEMY TEAM WHO RETURN TO THEIR BENCH

Q: What happens exactly if the foe “returns” to their bench?

A: In that case, the foe forms a queue with the other Titans of the enemy team, and they will enter the arena in queue order. The queue consists of all enemy Titans on the enemy bench, and all their Team Powers are active. If the foe returns to the bench, he becomes the first in the queue, so he will be the next one to enter the arena. When he enters the arena again, do not reveal a new upgrade card from the enemy hand (you will only do that when you reveal a new Titan from the enemy deck). As long as there are one or more Titans on the enemy bench, they are sent into the arena one after the other. Only when the enemy bench becomes empty, reveal a new Titan from the enemy deck and place it on the enemy bench.

GODSPARK EXPANSION

APHRODITE AREIA

Q: How does her Heartbound ability exactly work?

A: When the foe wins the fight, they draw 1 upgrade card as victory reward (as usual) and the clean-up steps are performed. Once defeated, Aphrodite Areia goes to the discard pile. Afterwards you roll 1 die. If it’s (red), the foe belongs to your team now (until defeated) and normally remains in the arena as the Champion. So, you will participate in the next fight. If the other player has no Titans anymore, they are eliminated from the game and discard all upgrade cards from their hand, as usual. If you are now the only player who still has Titans, you win the game. This is true even if the Titan you just took control of is your only Titan.

COSMO

Q: Do I win the fight (and gain the victory reward) when I take control of the foe and put them on my bench with this Special Move?

A: Yes, Cosmo remains alone in the arena, so he wins the fight.

LEGENDARY UPGRADE CARDS

Q: What happens if a new Titan is revealed during the game (for example from Alekeeper’s Ultimate or when playing in co-op mode) and they have the keyword “Legendary Upgrade”?

A: A Titan with the keyword “Legendary Upgrade” always uses their corresponding legendary upgrade card. So, in that special case, simply treat that new Titan as if it had been in the game since the Start of Game. Therefore, immediately search for the matching legendary upgrade card and attach it as usual.

Q: What happens exactly if a legendary upgrade card would be discarded?

A: If a legendary upgrade card would be discarded for any reason, instead it goes back to the legendary upgrade deck. The most common reason for it to be discarded is when it is played in a later fight to upgrade another Titan (after its original owner was defeated). Because it is treated as a regular upgrade card at that point, it is supposed to be discarded at the end of that fight, as usual. However, because it is legendary, it goes back to the legendary upgrade deck instead. There could be other reasons for it to be discarded (such as via Odin’s Ultimate or via the upgrade card Hex) and in all cases it goes back to the legendary upgrade deck instead.

Q: What happens if I play the upgrade card Hex, targeting the foe’s legendary upgrade card?

A: The foe loses their legendary upgrade card and it has no effect. It goes back to the legendary upgrade deck. If they are defeated during that fight, it does not go to my hand because they already lost it.

Q: If a legendary upgrade card ends up in the hand of another player, can they also use it to participate in the Betting Phase and can they discard it then if their bet was wrong? (Betting is an optional rule described on page 27 of the rulebook.)

A: Yes, because it is treated as a regular upgrade card at that point.

MINDBUG EXPANSION

EARL B. BUG

Q: Does Earl B. Bug make an insanely powerful combo with the upgrade card Gorgon’s Gaze?

A: Yes, it does. Congratulations!

GORRILION

Q: What are the different ways to become the Champion and trigger Gorillion’s ability?

A: The most common way for Gorillion to become the Champion is to win a fight during which he was the Challenger. But there are other ways too. If Gorillion is the very first Titan of the game to enter the arena, he immediately becomes the Champion. Being alone in the arena means he is the Champion and this can happen if the foe returns to their bench (such as Tasheera, Glitch, Mindbug, and others). Note that all cases described above do not apply if he simply remains the Champion because then he does not become the Champion again. Another tricky way to achieve that goal would be if That Which Follows is currently the Champion and draws Gorillion to replace it in the arena. In that case, Gorillion must continue the same fight with the same role of Champion and thus becomes the Champion.

PINEAPPLE PALADIN

Q: What if Pineapple Paladin has the upgrade card Luchataur’s Legacy?

A: Since Pineapple Paladin can exceed his max life, he is considered to be “at max life” as long as he has 8 or more life.

PROMO CARDS

HIVE MIND

Q: What does “for each Minion token I have” mean?

A: It means you count only the Minion tokens that Hive Mind has, not the ones of your other Titans.

Q: Does the Special Move deal all damage as a single instance, or does it first deal 2 damage and then 1 damage for each Minion token?

A: All damage is dealt at once, as a single instance. For example, if Hive Mind has 3 Minion tokens, it deals 5 damage at once. Also, see the clarification on page 25 of the rulebook about effects that say “for each”.

KOJIRO

Q: What does “I control both Titans” mean?

A: It means that both Kojiro and Musashi belong to your team. You make all decisions for both Titans, so you may also play upgrade cards on Musashi. During the fight, you roll the die for both Titans. After the fight ends, the Titan who won that fight is still yours for the subsequent fights.

Q: What if Musashi is already in play because a player drafted him?

A: You are lucky! In this case, the ability of Kojiro does not trigger at all because its condition is not fulfilled. However, the player who has Kojiro on their bench is still the first player of the game and Kojiro must start by entering the arena himself.

LITTLE JOE

Q: When the Team Power of my Little Joe triggers, do I choose myself which Titan I swap him for?

A: Yes, the player who controls Little Joe when this ability triggers chooses a Titan on their left neighbor’s bench.

Q: What happens if the player on my left has no Titans on their bench because their last Titan is currently in the arena?

A: Nothing happens as the effect is impossible to perform (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 3).

Q: What happens if the player on my left has already been eliminated from the game?

A: They don’t count as a player anymore, so they get skipped, and you swap with the next player on their left.

PUPPET MASTER

Q: Is choosing a Puppet an optional ability?

A: Yes, it is optional because it says “I may”. If you do not choose any Puppet for this fight, then Puppet Master’s second ability is impossible to perform and therefore ignored (see rulebook page 5, Golden Rule no. 3), thus forcing Puppet Master to use his own attack chart and abilities.

Q: If I choose a Puppet, is it mandatory to use its attack chart and abilities instead of mine?

A: Yes, it is mandatory because it does not say “I may”.

Q: If I choose a Puppet on any bench, is Puppet Master still affected by the Team Power of another Titan on my bench?

A: Yes, as normal.

Q: If I choose a Puppet on a bench other than mine and that bench includes another Titan with a Team Power, is Puppet Master affected by that Team Power?

A: No, the Team Power of that other Titan only affects their entire team (including themself). Puppet Master does not belong to that team.

Q: Which parts of the Puppet do I use? Which ones do I not use?

A: You use the attack chart and abilities of the Puppet (including their Team Power, if any) except their Ultimate (or Ultimate Form). If the Puppet has a “Start of Fight” ability, you resolve it as if it were yours. If the Puppet has a “Start of Game” ability, you ignore it as usual. You do not use the Puppet’s values indicated in their upper left corner (max life value, speed value, armor value). If the Puppet has status tokens or legendary upgrade cards attached to them, you do not use those.

THE ANCIENT ONE

Q: What happens exactly when The Ancient One triggers its Ultimate?

A: Both Titans are defeated at the same time, so they both lose the fight and no one gains the victory reward (see rulebook page 25). The arena becomes empty.
